Art and Tomatoes

Artist(s)

Tzazná + Queso

Date

April 2017 – May 2017

Art and Tomatoes by artists Tzazná + Queso highlights and reflects on the Justice for Migrant Workers’ Harvesting Freedom Campaign, organized to mark the 50th year in which migrant farmworkers come to Canada to feed our families and yet have no access to citizenship. Exhibiting as part of this year’s Mayworks Festival of Working People and the Arts, this fluid intersection of art, design and activism carries a deep intentionality about the artworks and their impact. Check it out in The Public’s window gallery now until May 30th, in addition to their other installations at Steelworkers Hall and Whippersnapper Gallery.
