Stories are a necessary part of selfhood, self-growth, personal and societal healing. Resilient Growth is a collaborative exhibit created with Old Growth Press at our workshop on September 12th at The Public that explores how communities can grow resiliency through collective storytelling and creative expression. This exhibit reminds us that through sharing and listening to each other, we can continue to exist and love in a world that would deem us unnecessary. Using the imagery and patterns of flowers, leaves, tree rings, and more, we write our stories and draw aspects of our lives that have shaped us, and the wishes that we want to grow together.
