Balanced Good is a people-first consultancy that supports social impact organizations through times of change. They offer specialized employee leave coverage, along with coaching and consulting services to strengthen fundraising and leadership capacity.
By embedding themselves within organizational cultures, they assess existing programs, develop tailored strategies, and coach teams to build sustainable practices. With intentional support, Balanced Good helps organizations embrace change as an opportunity to reflect, adapt, and build workplace cultures that are caring, inclusive, and rooted in trust—ensuring both employees and mission remain supported through periods of transition.
The Need
Balanced Good had outgrown their existing brand and approached us to lead a robust rebranding and website design process. Our goals were to:
- support Balanced Good in developing a cohesive identity and brand story;
- shift their visual language from a more gendered palette to one that is more inclusive and reflective of their values and expertise; and
- clearly communicate their offerings and role as a deeply immersed partner in organizational change.
The Idea
Change with Intention
Balanced Good understands that organizations, like the people within them, are always growing and evolving. They believe that movement is necessary: nonprofits must adapt as their teams change, and the perspectives and world around them shifts. But change doesn’t have to feel chaotic or overwhelming. With the right support, it can be intentional, thoughtful, and aligned with an organization’s mission.
By embedding themselves into workplace cultures, sharing core values and bringing deep expertise, Balanced Good offers—and implements—recommendations that are strategic, holistic and focus on re-imagining systems and how we operate within them. They help organizations navigate transitions in ways that not only keep things moving but also strengthen their foundations, with care and purpose.
The Work
In this approach, we focus on Balanced Good as a supportive and thoughtful facilitator of these necessary organizational shifts and changes. In the logo, we see the type actively shifting within a container that expands to accommodate this new shape. We’ve also reinforced the figure-ground relationship and transformation through the website design and development; each page is on a shifted background which mirrors the form of the logo, the headlines and navigation animate and slide into frame, and the logo changes colour on scroll.
The final work includes the redesigned logo suite, brand standard guidelines, website, and Canva social templates.
